2017: Day 31 of 365 Days

January 31, 2017

Today’s Highlights: Today was a snowy and cloudy day. The dogs and I woke up at 5 AM and went outside to do their bathroom duties. We ended going back to bed because it was not breakfast time. We got up at 7:30 AM and ate breakfast. The dogs and I went outside and played for a half hour. We came in and laid down until 11 AM. We got back up and went outside to do their bathroom duties. The dogs and I came in and I ate a sandwich and made some coffee. We went back outside to play for a good 45 minutes. I cannot wait until summertime, when we can stay outside all day and not freeze our bums off. We relaxed and played until 4 PM. I took a shower at 4 PM. I fed the dogs at 5:30 PM and took them out to play again. I ate dinner at 6:30 PM, which was potatoes and meatballs. After that, the dogs went out to pee in the fluffy white snow. Right now, the dogs are sleeping and I am writing my post. I can’t believe that I actually posted for 31 days straight. Overall, today was a good day.

2017: Day 30 of 365 Days

January 30, 2017

Today’s Highlights: The dogs and I got up at 6 AM and ate breakfast. I took them outside for a half hour to get some morning energy out. We came in and I had my morning coffee, which was needed because I only had about 4 hours of sleep. I took a shower at 7:45 AM and packed my school bag for the day by 8:45 AM. I started the car at 9 AM to deice the car. While the car was deicing, I took the dogs out to play and to do their bathroom duties. I put Evie in her pen and Charlie went and laid down in the living room. I left at 9:20AM and stopped at my mom’s work to drop off coffee. After that, I headed to McDonald’s to get me a cup of coffee. I got to school at 10:45 AM, which was a little early. Class started at 11:30 AM and we got out at 12:45 PM. Overall, I enjoyed this class a lot more because of the content and the teaching style. I drove to the mall and made an appointment at the tattoo parlor for a new tattoo. I will reveal it soon. After that, I headed to Meijer to get a few groceries and to get some gasoline for my car. I got home around 3 PM and took the dogs outside. The dogs played and relaxed until I took them for a car ride to McDonald’s. I fed them dinner at 5:30 PM and took them back out for a while. The deer were back out and I made Charlie stay in until I could scare the deer away. The dogs played outside for 20 minutes. We came in and relaxed for a while. Right now, the dogs are sleeping and I am writing my blog. Overall, today was a good day.

2017: Day 29 of 365 Days

January 29, 2017

Today’s Highlights: The dogs and I got up at 5 AM to go outside and do their bathroom duties. My light bulb in my room went out, so we have to rely on a light from the closet to see in the morning. We ended up going back to bed until 7:30 AM because 5 AM is not the normal time to get up. I fed the dogs at 7:30 AM. We relaxed all morning. I took them out at 12:30 PM to burn off some energy. We came in and played some more in the house. I did some home work and completed one assignment by 4 PM. I took the dogs out again to burn more energy off before dinner time. I fed them dinner at 5:30 PM. We relaxed for a while until the dogs had to pee. We have a pond in our backyard and sometimes, deer like to hang out there. When Charlie sees the deer, he wants to and will run after them, but he always stops and comes back when I call him. When I took them out, I saw some deer and I made Charlie come back in because if he runs after the deer, Evie will follow him. Evie does not listen very well yet. Her nose takes over and she ignores me, which is a part of the puppy process. Thank God, we were able to avoid that fiasco. We came in and I ate some dinner. The dogs played and relaxed for a while. I completed another assignment at 7 PM. Right now, the dogs are sleeping and I am writing my post. Overall, today was a cold, but a good day.

Cuddles and Creepy Eyes ❤❤❤

Thought of the Day: Anxiety. I am not one to talk about anxiety a lot because it is not an easy thing to talk about. It’s very hard to understand. anxiety runs in my family. My mother has it and other family members do. It mainly comes from my mother’s side of the family. I don’t remember living without anxiety and I am learning my triggers to what can set it off. My mother and I both worry about what other people think. We both know that we shouldn’t worry about it, but it is hard to stop worrying. I also know that my anxiety plays a role in why I don’t fully trust family and friends. For example, my mother had a severe allergic reaction to a medication and it occurred in the early morning times, which meant that I was dropped off at my grandmother’s house. My dad was down at the hospital with my mom and I asked my grandmother if my mom was going to die. I had asked her that in confidentially. My mom was completely and was home the same day. A few days later at a Christmas party, my grandmother tells the entire family about my question. I was not happy that she said something about it because it played into my anxiety and it made me lose trust. I was only 8 or 9 at the time. There are other incidents, but that is the one that I remember. Other incidents such as addictions of other family members. Anxiety is not something to joke about because it does exist and there are other people in the world who suffer from way worse cases of anxiety then I do. One of the things that does help with my anxiety is walking and being with my dogs. My anixety is not severe, but it does exist. What do you do to help your anxiety?

Quote of the Day: “Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strengths.”

-Charlies Haddon Spurgeon

2017: Day 28 of 365 Days

January 28, 2017

Today’s Highlights: The dogs and I got up at 6 AM and went outside to do their bathroom duties. After that, the dogs came in to eat breakfast. I got in the shower at 8:30 AM to get ready for the day. My mother and I went to a church to drop some hoodies off at 9:30 AM. We stopped at McDonald’s and got a large coffee. My mother  and I went back home and I took the dogs outside for fifteen minutes before I had to leave. I left at 10:15 AM to head to the movie theaters to see A Dog’s Purpose. The movie started at 11:10 AM. To be honest, this movie was amazing and made me cry multiple times. It is worth seeing. The movie got over at 1 PM  and I headed to Burger  King to get a Whopper for my mother. After that, I headed to Pet Smart to get treats and a new toy for the dogs. I went to the high school at 2 PM to watch my nephew play a basketball game. He lost his game but played well. After the game, I went back home and took the dogs out to play and burn off energy with their new toy. I ate dinner at 4:30 PM. The dogs and I played around until dinner time for the dogs, which was at 5:30 PM. After dinner, we went outside to play and do their bathroom duties. When we were outside, Charlie decided to pull a stunt and run after some deer in our backyard. I made him go back inside while I waited outside with Evie to wait for her to go pee. These dogs definitely keep me on my toes. We came back in and relaxed for a while. We also cuddled for a little bit. I had some ice cream with Coca Cola. Right now, the dogs are relaxing and I am watching Judge Judy and writing the daily post. Overall, today was a good day.

2017: Day 27 of 365 Days

January 27, 2017

Today’s Highlights: Another cold cloudy day. The dogs and I got up at 6 AM and went outside to do the bathroom duties. After that, the dogs ate breakfast. Evie stayed in the kitchen with my mother, while Charlie and I went back to bed. To be honest, today was one of those days of where I felt like doing nothing. I am thankful that my mother was willing to watch the dogs. I took the dogs out around 2 PM to play and do their bathroom duties. We came in and relaxed in the living room until 4:45 PM. I took them out to play until dinner time. Dinner time for the dogs was at 5:30 PM. I got in the shower at 6 PM to feel refreshed. I ate dinner at 6:45 PM, which was grilled cheese and a bowl of corn. I took them back out at 7:30 PM to get the rest of their energy out for the night. Right now, Charlie and I are relaxing on the couch and Evie is chewing on her toy. I am also watching Judge Judy and writing my daily post. Overall, today was a good day.

2017: Day 26 of 365 Days

January 26, 2017

Today’s Highlights: Today was a cloudy day, but the sun did peek through the clouds. The dogs and I got up at 6 AM and ate breakfast. We went outside to do the bathroom duties and it was raining. The dogs and I came in and relaxed until 11 AM. I took a bath at 12 PM and got ready for the day. The dogs, my mother and I went to Family Dollar and McDonald’s to get some things. We came home and played outside for a little while.  While we were outside, I picked up a bucket filled with poop that accumulated over four days. Evie has lost three top teeth and has two adult teeth coming in on the bottom. I fed the dogs their dinner at 6 PM. We went back outside to play and to do the bathroom duties. We came in and relaxed for a while. I chatted with my friend about making reservations to go camping up in the Upper  Peninsula. Once, I confirmed the dates with my friend, I made reservations at the campground that we will be staying at. Right now, the dogs are playing and I am watching Grey’s Anatomy, while I am writing the post. Overall, today was a good day.

See that white bucket? It’s filled with 4 days worth of poop 😬

Thought of the Day: Camping. Camping is one of my favorite hobbies. This summer, my friend and I are taking our dogs and going up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to go camping. We plan on staying for four days and three nights. The one thing that we plan on doing with the dogs is hiking throughout the woods and taking them up to Lake Superior. Two Golden Retrievers and a Heeler mixed with Corgi in one tent is definitely going to be interesting. It’s going to be four days with no service and no wi-fi, which I know will do me some good. I need the break from social media and the internet. I feel like my life is surrounded by it. Although, I will write and take my daily pictures for those four days, but I will not post them until I return home from camping. This will be Evie’s first camping trip and Charlie’s second camping trip up in the U.P. of Michigan. It’s going to be a blast and I am so excited about it! What’s your favorite camping experience?

Quote of the Day: “For short term relaxation, I take a hot tub. It’s my best way to unblock writers’ block, too. For a bit longer relaxation, I enjoy camping. Just being in the wilderness, with no phones or computers or anything I have to do really refreshes my spirit.”

-Ellen Hopkins

2017: Day 25 of 365 Days

January 25, 2017

Today’s Highlights: Another cloudy day and another day of no sun. The dogs and I got up at 6:30 AM and went outside to do their bathroom duties. My mom fed the dogs, while I took a nap until 10:30 AM. Charlie didn’t want to eat, so he ended up taking a nap with me until 10:30 AM. We got up at 10:30 AM and went outside. I fed Charlie his breakfast at 11 AM. I gave the dogs peanut butter on the bone, while I took a shower. I took them out at 12 PM to do bathroom duties. I left at 12:20 PM to head to my college class. I stopped at McDonald’s on the way to class. Class was okay, it could have been more interesting. My friend and I talked about going camping in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with the dogs in May. Class ended 5 PM and I headed home. I got home around 6:30 PM. My mom fed them dinner at 5:30 PM. I took them out to play at 7 PM. I ate dinner at 7:30 PM. I can tell that the dogs are bored because they love being outside and they can’t go outside because of the rain and the mud. Right now, the dogs are sitting with me on the couch and I am watching NCIS, while I am writing my daily post. Overall, today was a good day.
